The Septum Vase Limited Edition 300 works as a repository for flowers or as a dramatic art piece. “Septum” means “dividing wall,” specifically the dividing wall between the right and left atrium and ventricle in the heart. The outer shapes of the vases can be simple and smooth, but inside there is an irregularity and playfulness that makes every single vase unique. This notion of a vibrancy and a “structure” within the outer walls of the glass triggered the idea of the Septum vases. It takes a team of 12 artisans to create each Septum Vase.
